Every time you make a basic interaction with a blockchain e.g. swapping, minting or staking, you are using data infrastructure to connect with the blockchain. After all, a blockchain is essentially a globally distributed & decentralized database.
All of this infrastructure happens behind the scenes.
Lava is a novel incentives protocol that helps chains improve their data infrastructure, already supporting 2m+ users with fast and reliable blockchain interactions. You're probably using Lava without knowing - now you can contribute and earn rewards too.
From today, 17th September, RPC providers and LAVA delegators can participate in the ATOM Lava pool - the first incentive pool on Lava Mainnet.

- Join as a Cosmos Hub RPC provider on Lava: https://docs.lavanet.xyz/cosmoshub-node
Lava is a protocol that blockchains use to improve their data infrastructure. Lava can permissionlessly support any blockchain.
Chains and rollups create an incentive pool on Lava, consisting of their native token or stablecoins or even memecoins.
Chains and rollups write a specification ("spec", see the list of specs here) which defines infrastructure services such as Cosmos Hub testnet and Mainnet RPC.
The incentives attract providers who join Lava to serve infrastructure for that chain. This is especially beneficial for newly launched or pre-launch chains which are not yet supported by the small handful of major providers
Lava aggregates providers and optimally routes requests based on geolocation and provider quality of service. Users do not need to manually research and pick the best providers; Lava is highly dynamic to user needs on a request-by-request basis
Every month, providers are paid based on the compute they provider and the quality of their service
LAVA delegators can choose to stake to an RPC provider, helping boost them in the selection process. This improves quality of service across the network by selecting and amplifying top performing providers.
Every month, LAVA delegators earn a % of provider rewards.
The Cosmos Hub Testnet and Mainnet RPC specification has been added to Lava and node operators can join to get paid for serving RPC.
1. Set up lavad and create a wallet
2. Join our Discord channel for Cosmos Hub Lava Pool to keep up to date: https://discord.gg/bKkEtU6AMQ
3. Finish provider set up per Lava docs: https://docs.lavanet.xyz/cosmoshub-node
4. Share a tweet about joining Lava Network as a node operator for Cosmos Hub Mainnet and submit in contribution channel on Discord
1. Go to this open-source restaking dashboard where you can pick a provider to restake your LAVA too. This dashboard was made a community contributor, Ruslan.
2. Alternatively, you can go to https://lavanet.xyz/stakers to see restaking dashboards from partners such as Leap & StakingRewards
3. Restake your LAVA to an RPC provider
4. Share a tweet about Lava's unique delegation model and how you are contributing to Lava Network
Note: we highly recommend joining our dedicated Discord channel to stay notified of latest updates.
