Located in the northwest of the Dominican Republic, Alba Bay is a large-scale master-planned development spanning nearly 40 million square meters, with a long-term vision centered around wellness, sustainability, and community design.

The project is envisioned as the world's first Wellness City, integrating residential living, tourism, and infrastructure into a single, thoughtfully designed environment. At a scale rarely seen in the Caribbean, Alba Bay carries a long-term vision to help shape the development of the surrounding region.

As part of its forward-looking approach, BHL is exploring the potential role of digital infrastructure through a dedicated sandbox initiative, designed to evaluate tokenization models in a controlled and structured environment.

A sandbox approach offers a clear advantage for an undertaking of this scale. It creates room to explore new models methodically, with the rigor that institutional development requires, rather than committing to a single path prematurely.

The Lava Foundation has entered into a structured collaboration with BHL to support this exploratory initiative, contributing its decentralized RPC and API infrastructure layer, technology already used across multiple institutional blockchain environments.

As part of the process, specialist teams will be invited to propose and develop potential tokenization frameworks, while Lava provides the underlying connectivity and infrastructure layer supporting those teams.
